A Post Doctoral Scholar position is available immediately in the Linus Pauling Institute, on a newly-funded P01 program project grant from the National Cancer Institute. The goal of this grant is to investigate the mechanisms by which epigenetic changes are brought about by dietary agents, and to evaluate epigenetic biomarkers in preclinical and translational studies. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a strong interest in diet, epigenetics, and cancer prevention. Salary will be based on University guidelines for postdoctoral fellows.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in biochemistry, nutrition, molecular toxicology or related fields. Preference given to candidates who obtained their Ph.D. degree within the past two years, and who have published in areas related to epigenetic mechanisms and cancer.
