Job Title:Faculty, Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy
Job Description:

Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy

Faculty

The University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking applications for tenure eligible and tenured faculty positions for expansion of its laboratory research program in Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy. We seek scientists with an outstanding track record of accomplishment whose interests define new research directions that are synergistic with the program’s existing strengths. An endowed chair is available for a senior-level individual with an exceptional level of accomplishment.

The Immunology and Immunotherapy Program of the Cancer Center and the Human Immune Therapy Center have strengths in cancer antigen identification, lymphocyte homing to tumors, vaccine development, and immunotherapy clinical trials. Faculty in these areas have recently consolidated in a new research building that also houses programs in Immunology and Inflammation and Women's Oncology, and offers opportunity for considerable expansion in each area. We are planning for significant growth of clinical oncology programs, supported by a new clinical Cancer Center building.

M.D. or Ph.D. is required, as is an outstanding record of accomplishment commensurate with the level of position sought. A strong interest in translational cancer research is preferred. Existing independent peer reviewed funding is preferred for tenure eligible positions and required for tenured positions.

To apply for the tenure-eligible position, search on Posting Number 0603133.
