Job Title:Faculty Positions in Cancer Prevention and Control
Job Description:The Comprehensive Cancer Center and the division of Public Health Sciences of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center invite applications for mid-level, tenure-track faculty positions (rank open) in Cancer Prevention and Control. The primary faculty appointment will be in the division of Public Health Sciences (PHS). The division has over 50 faculty and 250 staff in three departments: Social Sciences and Health Policy, Epidemiology and Prevention, and Biostatistical Sciences. PHS is highly ranked nationally in NIH research funding among medical school departments of public health and preventive medicine.

Applicants should have a Ph.D., ScD, or MD with additional training/experience in behavioral medicine, psychology, cancer epidemology, cancer survivorship, health disparities, health services research, or clinical trials. We are particularly interested in applicants in the following substantive areas: cancer survivorship, health disparities, and smoking cessation/tobacco control. Current extramural funding, experience in collaborative research in a multidisciplinary setting and excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Successful applicants should have a strong publication record.

The successful candidate will participate in an active program in cancer prevention and control as part of an NCI-funded Comprehensive Cancer Center. The NCI R25 training grant in cancer survivorship serves as a Community Clinical Oncology Program Research Base, and participates in CALGB trials. Opportunities for collaboration throughout the medical center and teaching opportunities within the Master's degree program exist.
