The Division of Hematology/Oncology within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is seeking applications for two positions from Assistant Professor – Professor. 

 

Successful candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Oncology and eligible for Texas licensure.  Board certification or board eligibility in Hematology is a plus.

 

Primary responsibilities include seeing patients in outpatient Oncology and/or Hematology clinics, attending on inpatient Oncology and/or Hematology consults, attending on the inpatient Hematology/Oncology ward service, actively participating in the clinical research activities of the Division and the UTMB Cancer Center and actively participating in the teaching efforts of the Division and the Department.

 

Additional preference will be given to candidates eligible and willing to assume the role of Program Director for the Medical Oncology fellowship program, to those with an established record of conducting clinical and/or translational cancer trials, and to those with a successful history of obtaining research funding.
