The following opportunity exists in our South San Francisco, CA, headquarters: Senior Scientist Responsibilities: The successful candidate will oversee a small group and be part of a multidisciplinary team that will develop and apply murine tumor models to support novel target and drug discovery efforts, with some effort focused on interrogating tumor re-initiating cells and mechanisms of therapeutic resistance. The individual will be responsible for some hands-on bench and in vivo work in this role. Requirements: This position requires a Ph.D. with at least three years of post-doctoral experience and a practical knowledge in characterizing and applying genetically engineered murine models of cancer. Candidates must exhibit a strong scientific ability and proven expertise in the areas of oncology, signal transduction and murine modeling; experience with preclinical modeling as well as in vivo imaging and surgery is highly desired. The successful applicant must demonstrate evidence of successful and productive leadership, an excellent publication record and outstanding communication and people interaction skills, with managerial and industry experience preferred.
