Associate Professor Position in Stephenson Cancer Center

Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Campus invites applications for ranks of Associate Professor (Tenure eligible) position. The faculty members will be affiliated with the NCI-designated OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center Research Programs and will have access to exceptional resources and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborations. Individuals with specialty in areas of Cancer Interception, Prevention, Pre-cancer Biology and Early Detection-Biomarkers are encouraged to apply. Selected candidate(s) will be provided competitive salaries and start-up support. Salary to be commensurate with experience. Academic appointment will be in the Department of Internal Medicine/ Oncology Section.

Qualifications:

  • Individuals working in cancer prevention/interception, precancer biology, early detection biomarkers areas of cancer research.
  • Must hold a PhD or MD or MD/PhD degree in any area of biomedical Sciences
  • Demonstrate strong publication record and funding from NCI are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Possess a strong scientific research program and able to manage independent research.

Salary and Start-up Funding:

  • The selection committee will recommend the salary for the individual based on the salary range set by the University’s standard.
  • Start-up fund amount will be based on recommendation from the selection committee and their review of planned research and goals.

  • Teaching statement (up to 2 pages)
